Buyer questions

Questions buyers actually ask

How do I connect my repository?

Sign up or sign in with your GitHub account. After authorizing Rift-code, you can choose which repositories to link. We use GitHub’s OAuth and only request the permissions needed to read your repo structure and dependencies.

View source

Is my code stored or shared?

We do not store your source code. We use repository metadata and dependency information to build the architecture view. Your code stays in GitHub; we only cache minimal structural data to serve the visualizations.

View source

Which languages and package managers are supported?

We support JavaScript/TypeScript (npm, yarn, pnpm), and common monorepo setups. Support for more languages and package managers is on the roadmap.

View source

Can I use this for private repositories?

Yes. If you grant access to private repos during GitHub authorization, you can visualize them the same way as public repos. You can revoke access at any time from your GitHub settings.

View source

How do I revoke access?

Go to GitHub → Settings → Applications → Authorized OAuth Apps, find Rift-code, and revoke access. We will stop being able to read the repos you had linked.

View source

What is Ask Lens?

Ask Lens lets you ask focused questions about your codebase and get concise written answers plus visual diagrams. It helps explain architecture and feature behavior quickly.
