Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These terms are a binding agreement between you and SiteList (“SiteList,” “we,” “us”). By accessing sitelist.co, creating an account, submitting a site, writing a review, offering or claiming access through the marketplace, or embedding our widget, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1 · The service
SiteList is a directory that reviews websites and software products. It publishes (a) automated technical analyses and scores (“SiteList Review Scores”), (b) reviews written by users (“User Reviews”), and (c) a marketplace where businesses offer access to their products in exchange for honest reviews (“Offers”). We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without liability to you.
2 · Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You are responsible for your account, its credentials, and everything done through it. One account per person; accounts are not transferable.
- Information you provide must be accurate. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, including for conduct we reasonably believe harms the integrity of the service or other users.
3 · SiteList Review Scores and AI-generated reviews
SiteList Review Scores and the accompanying written analyses are automated editorial opinions, generated by software from publicly available information collected at a specific review time. They are protected expressions of opinion, provided for general information only. They are not certifications, endorsements, professional advice, or statements of verifiable fact about a business, and they can become outdated the moment a site changes.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any score or analysis.
- Scores are never for sale. No payment, offer, or relationship changes a SiteList Review Score.
- Site owners may claim their listing and use the published correction process to flag factual errors; we decide corrections and fresh reviews at our discretion.
- You may not base credit, employment, insurance, or similar decisions on SiteList content.
4 · User Reviews
User Reviews are the sole responsibility of their authors. SiteList is an interactive computer service provider and does not author, endorse, or adopt User Reviews; to the fullest extent permitted by law (including 47 U.S.C. §230 where applicable) we are not liable for them.
By submitting a review you represent and warrant that:
- it reflects your genuine, first-hand experience and is truthful to your knowledge;
- you have disclosed any material connection to the vendor (employment, family, agency, investment, or an incentive received through our marketplace) exactly as the submission form asks;
- it contains no confidential information, no third-party personal data, and nothing unlawful;
- any proof you upload is authentic and unmodified.
You keep ownership of your reviews. You grant SiteList a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for format and excerpting), publish, display, distribute, and syndicate them — including in the embeddable widget and in aggregate ratings — for as long as the review exists on the service and thereafter in backups and archives. We may verify, decline, remove, label, or de-publish any review at any time; we never edit a review’s substance and we never remove a compliant review because of its sentiment.
5 · The access marketplace
The marketplace connects businesses (“Vendors”) offering product access with reviewers. SiteList is an intermediary only. The exchange of access, and anything a Vendor provides, is a matter strictly between Vendor and reviewer; we are not a party to it, we do not guarantee that any offer will be honored, that any review will be written, or that any review will be favorable, and we owe no refunds or compensation in connection with offers.
- Vendors must not condition a benefit on positive sentiment, request changes to a truthful review, contact reviewers to influence ratings, or misrepresent their offer. Incentives are disclosed on every resulting review and cannot be disabled.
- Reviewers must complete a claimed trial in good faith, keep any credentials confidential, use them only to evaluate the product, and write an honest review within the stated window. Benefits may have tax consequences; those are yours alone.
- Credentials shared through the vault are provided by Vendors at their own risk; we encrypt them in transit and at rest but are not liable for a Vendor’s account contents or a reviewer’s misuse.
- Violations may result in removal from the marketplace and the service.
6 · Listings, automated review, and the widget
- Listings are compiled from publicly available information. Operating a public website constitutes no relationship with us, and inclusion in the directory requires no consent. Site owners may claim a listing, respond to reviews, and use the correction process.
- The embed widget is licensed to the listed site’s owner, revocably and free of charge, solely to display that site’s current SiteList data unmodified, with attribution and disclosures intact. Any use that misrepresents, alters, or selectively hides SiteList data ends the license automatically.
- You may not scrape, bulk-download, or republish SiteList content (including scores, analyses, and reviews) without our written permission, except as search engines and AI assistants are permitted via our published robots and llms directives.
7 · Acceptable use
You must not:
- submit fake, paid-for, coordinated, or duplicative reviews, or trade reviews outside the marketplace’s disclosed mechanism;
- upload fabricated, altered, or misleading verification evidence;
- misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a vendor;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or circumvent security or verification measures;
- use the service to violate any law, including consumer-protection and advertising law;
- reverse engineer the service except where law grants that right notwithstanding this term.
8 · Intellectual property
The service — including SiteList Review Scores, written analyses, software, design, and trademarks — is owned by SiteList or its licensors and protected by law. We claim no ownership of the third-party sites we review or of their trademarks; references to them are nominative. If you send us feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation.
9 · Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, email support@sitelist.co with the material’s location, your rights, your contact details, and a good-faith statement, and we will act on valid notices, including removal and, for repeat infringers, account termination.
10 · Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. YOUR USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. NOTHING ON SITELIST IS PROFESSIONAL, FINANCIAL, LEGAL, SECURITY, OR PURCHASING ADVICE.
11 · Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) SITELIST, ITS OWNER, AND ITS SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND (B) OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS CAPPED AT THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions these limits apply to the maximum extent permitted.
12 · Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SiteList and its owner, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content (including your reviews and evidence), your offers, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms or of law.
13 · Dispute resolution — arbitration and class waiver
Please read this section carefully — it affects your rights. Except where prohibited by the law of your habitual residence (consumers in the EU/EEA and UK keep their mandatory local rights and courts), any dispute arising out of or relating to the service or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider in the State of Wyoming, United States, and not in court. You and SiteList each waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Small-claims court and injunctive relief for IP misuse remain available to both parties. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing support@sitelist.co within 30 days of first accepting these terms.
14 · Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. Sections 3–4 (licenses and responsibility for content), 8, and 10–15 survive termination. Published reviews may remain after account deletion in de-identified or attributed form as the review license permits.
15 · General
- Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory consumer protections of your residence.
- Changes: we may update these terms; material changes will be signaled on this page’s date and, for account holders, by notice. Continued use after changes is acceptance.
- Severability; waiver; assignment: unenforceable provisions are severed; failure to enforce is not waiver; you may not assign these terms, we may.
- Entire agreement: these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the How reviews work disclosures are the entire agreement between you and SiteList.
